Codensa and Emgesa are joining the District’s "No Car" Day

 5/4/2017  Bogotá

• After accepting the challenge proposed by the District Secretariat of Habitat, CODENSA and EMGESA have joined in order for their employees to go to work by bicycle. • All day on May 4, the parking lots of both corporate headquarters will be adapted for employees to park their bicycles.

The District Secretariat of Habitat challenged CODENSA and EMGESA, companies of the Enel Group in Colombia, to join the District's "No Car" Day, an initiative of Bogotá's District Secretariat of Mobility, which will take place on May 4, 2017, to promote the use of sustainable means of transportation to commute that day.

The Challenge that day consists of getting the employees of both entities to ride to work and back home on their bicycles, and the one who gets the greatest number of employees to use this means of transportation will be the winner of the challenge.

“We have been the pioneers of sustainable mobility in Bogotá through our e-Bike to Work program with electric bicycles for our employees, so accepting this challenge means reaffirming our commitment to Bogotá and mobility”, said Lucio Rubio, General Director of Enel Colombia.

In its effort to promote this initiative and get the greatest number of employees to participate, we are communicating The Challenge throughout the Company by means of messages and videos. In addition, the parking lots will be adapted to park employees' bicycles.

Since the early hours of the morning, a record will be kept of the employees who arrive at both participating headquarters on their bicycles, while The Challenge is promoted on social media with #MueveteSostenible.
